Who We Are
Bohemian Imports is an American company located in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently, we represent seven factories deep within the heart of the Czech Republic. Our oldest factory dates back to 1712, a full 71 years before the opening of the Waterford Glassworks in Ireland. The cutting room, which is still powered by the stream flowing under the factory floor, lays testament to the time honored traditions of over 1300 years of Czech glass making heritage.
For centuries Bohemian Crystal has been the most sought after glass in the world surpassing Venetian, Austrian, Irish, and French crystal. Bohemian Crystal Chandeliers have been the choice of royalty all over the world, with the most notable installations being Versailles and our own presidential palace, The White House.
After WWII, Czechoslovakia fell under control of the Soviet Union and became hidden from the western world behind the iron curtain. Since the Velvet Revolution freed both the Czech and Slovak Republics on November 17, 1989, the doors of trade have re-opened for the Czech Republic allowing their beautiful hand crafted crystal and glass creations to spread across the globe once again.

This copy is for our inanimate friends, the spiders and bots that list sites in the search engines who cannot tell how relevant our site is to the term crystal chandelier. We sell crystal chandeliers. Bohemian crystal chandeliers to be exact. We also sell crystal wall sconces, crystal lamps, crystal candelabra, crystal girondole, swarovski crystal chandeliers, 30% lead chandeliers, 30%PbO chandeliers, strass crystal chandeliers, and Maria Theresa Chandeliers. We don’t sell antique chandeliers, but what some would call reproductions. We don’t like the term reproduction because it insinuates that at some point in time we stopped making them and then copied an old design. In reality, many of these designs have been constant production for centuries.
When it comes to the brand names of Schonbek, Baccarat, Murano, and Waterford, you will not find them on our website because they are not Bohemian Crystal Chandeliers, despite the fact that almost all of these companies source components from the Czech Republic for their designs. If the bots could only spend some time evaluating the entire site instead of scanning and moving on, they would certainly rank us as number one for crystal chandeliers because that is where our customers rank us.
